Books of vacation.
At the beach this week, I was able to spend a lot of time reading - something I had been looking forward to doing all summer. Just sitting back in my lounge chair and making my way through my self-appointed summer reading list, I honestly can’t think of a better way to relax and enjoy the time off (except when I also had a homemade mudslide in my hand!). Here’s the list - and my...

This recap says it all.. →
Bon Iver at Prospect Park last night was literally AMAZING. The weather could not have been more picture perfect, and likewise the music. Their rendition during the first encore of “Skinny Love” will stick with me for a long time - and certainly be hard for any band to top.
Tonight I’m off to Cut Copy & Foster the People which should be FUN.
Weekend recap.
First full weekend in NYC in awhile and it was a great one! Friday was spent at the Standard Biergarten and Spasso, which was fantastic.
Yesterday, I had yet another delicious brunch at Tipsy Parson (we tested out their new addition to the menu of poached eggs with pesto, asparagus, and tomatoes which was out of this world), followed by dinner at Gruppo and Friends with Benefits (loved it!).

Two more great summer reads.
Over the weekend at the beach I finished two great summer reads - or reads for anytime really.
The first was The Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton. An enthralling saga about a young girl who arrives in Australia with no recollection of her name or family, and how the search for her birthright plays out over the course of three lifetimes.
The second I read over the course of two days; The Rules...

The Beagle
On Thursday night, a girlfriend and I grabbed an afterwork cocktail at the new spot in my neighborhood, The Beagle. The space was fantastic with a very trendy, fun vibe, and friendly informed bartender. We only had time to test one drink off the menu, and we both selected the London Buck which includes dry gin, ginger, fresh lime juice and chilled seltzer. Heaven - I would go back for this...

Swan Lake & Book of Mormon
Last Wednesday, Sarah and I went to see a production by the American Ballet Theatre at Lincoln Center for the first time since we participated in their Under 30 summer deal two summers ago (a great option for anyone wanting to get a chance to see ballet on the main stage by the way!). This time we saw a production of Swan Lake featuring principles Marcelo Gomes and Paloma Herrera. It was if not...

Beyonce...there are no words! →
A girlfriend sent this to me over the weekend and described it as life changing. I would have to agree. Without further adieu, here is Beyonce rehearsing for her appearance on American Idol….amazing.

I started a month of unlimited Bar Method classes earlier this week after a girlfriend turned me on to them a few weeks ago. Definitely a more intense/different workout than I’ve experienced before; hopefully also one that will lead to great results after going so much this month. Only time will tell!
But I will tell you one motivation that should help — I ran into Anne Hathaway...

Gossip Girl’s rendition of this tonight, combined with last week’s Glee, have inspired me to post an Adele song every day until I get to see her IN PERSON on Saturday. Hallelujah.

Watch Clips from NBC’s New Comedies | Vulture
Above is Up All Night. Starring Chirstina Applegate and Will Arnett as new parents and Maya Rudolph as Applegate’s boss and best friend. The clip is fast paced and manages to squeeze in some hilarity (from Arnett).
Immediately below is Whitney both from and starring Whitney Cummings, who plays one half of a “happily unmarried...
